Interactive tool 01

Water Bottling Equipment Scope Builder

Which water bottling equipment do you actually want supplied? Record your purchase boundary, select the modules to quote, and keep unresolved interfaces visible before asking for a price.

Define the equipment you want quoted

Enter only known facts; leave uncertain items blank. This tool does not automatically send or save your draft. Copy it before leaving this page.

Modules to request in the quotation

Unchecked means not requested here, not proven unnecessary. No module is selected automatically.

Your editable-input brief

Build a draft to see known facts, open inputs and checks to request. This is not a specification, price or machine recommendation.

Start with the purchase boundary, not a complete-line label

A water bottling equipment list depends on what you already have and what you want the supplier to deliver. Prepared water, empty bottles, caps, labels and packaging must reach the requested machines, but that does not mean every upstream or downstream machine belongs in the new order.

Select a stand-alone purchase when you need a defined function, a coordinated package when several functions are being sourced together, or an upgrade when retained equipment sets the interface conditions. Then select only the modules you want quoted. The builder records that request; it does not select a model, design a process or certify that a package is complete.

Three scope examples buyers should distinguish

These are illustrative purchasing situations, not customer projects or standard configurations.

Examples of equipment boundaries to confirm
Buyer situationWhat to requestWhat remains to verify
Bought-in PET bottles with prepared water availableOnly the requested filling, labeling, packing or handling functionsBottle delivery, product-water connection, samples and responsibility for any missing auxiliaries; no automatic new blow molder
Packing-machine replacementThe packing function and expressly requested accessoriesRetained filler/labeler interfaces, pack samples, infeed, discharge and controls; no automatic filler addition
Returned 18.9–20 L containersA format-specific review of requested preparation, filling and capping functionsIncoming inspection, washing responsibility, container/cap samples and acceptance evidence; do not assume a small-PET platform is suitable

Turn the module list into a supplier responsibility schedule

For every requested module, ask the supplier to state included, optional, buyer supplied, excluded or unresolved. Record the supplying party, interface owner and document that confirms the boundary. A photograph of a cap elevator, compressor or conveyor is not confirmation that it is included in the offer.

Keep a separate row for connections between retained and new equipment. Ask who confirms transfer heights, bottle handling, signals, product feed, utilities, testing and installation. If a module is unchecked in the builder, its responsibility remains undecided unless you explicitly record who supplies it. Do not convert an unchecked box into a technical conclusion that the function is unnecessary.

What to send with your scope brief

Copy the output before opening the RFQ or proposal page. The tool does not transfer the draft between pages or send an enquiry automatically. Use the next guide to add the remaining commercial and project details, then compare the returned offer against this same scope revision.

  • Bottle and cap drawings or sample status, with a separate output basis for each important format.
  • Raw-water report and target product details when treatment is requested; describe any existing prepared-water supply.
  • Label and final-pack samples or open format decisions, including bottles per pack.
  • Existing equipment models and available layout/interface drawings; distinguish confirmed facts from provisional notes.
  • Destination, available utilities and the dates still to be agreed. Request supplier assumptions and exclusions in writing.

Questions to close before purchase

01

Does this tool recommend a water bottling machine model?

No. It records requested functions and highlights open scope questions. Model selection needs bottle and cap review, product requirements, output basis, interfaces and a project-specific supplier proposal.

02

If I buy empty bottles, do I need to request a blow molder?

Not automatically. Record bought-in bottles as the supply route and request bottle-making equipment only if it is an intentional option or future scope. Confirm bottle delivery and handling interfaces either way.

03

Can I use it for only a packing machine?

Yes. Select a stand-alone purchase and the secondary-packing module. The result will not add a filler. Describe retained equipment and request the packing-specific infeed, discharge and control interfaces.

04

Is an unchecked module excluded from the final purchase?

No. Unchecked means not requested in this draft. The supplier and buyer still need to agree whether it is unnecessary, existing, optional, excluded or provided by another party.

What you should leave with

  • A record of your selected quotation modules, not an automatically approved machine list.
  • A list of missing buyer inputs and scope conflicts to clarify.
  • A copyable brief for a supplier to return with inclusions, options, exclusions and evidence.
