Contract technical annex

Water Bottling Machine Technical Agreement Checklist

Before the equipment order is finalized, turn the accepted proposal into one traceable technical baseline. Identify what is confirmed, what is still open and which document defines each requirement.

What should a water bottling machine technical agreement contain?

It should identify the water product, approved packaging formats, requested output basis, equipment and accessory schedule, supply boundaries, utilities, interfaces, documents, tests and unresolved deviations. Each supporting drawing, sample record and schedule needs an identifiable revision so that both parties are discussing the same configuration.

A quotation total, a catalog model or a general promise of a complete line is not enough to define those details. Use this checklist to prepare the engineering record for your project. It is not a legal contract template; the parties' authorized technical and commercial reviewers must confirm the final documents and their legal review requirements.

Build an annex register that someone else can follow

Technical records to connect before equipment approval

Product and format scheduleWater product; each bottle, cap, label and pack; sample/drawing revisionsWhich application and formats the offer covers
Output and test basisRequired output per format, counting boundary, run conditions and agreed test referenceWhat performance is being proposed and how it will be checked
Equipment and accessory scheduleModule, proposed identity, quantity, included accessories and option statusWhat will actually be supplied

Deviation and change registerRequirement reference, proposed difference, impact and approval statusWhich differences remain open instead of silently accepted

Separate the requested value from the accepted value

Record the buyer's requirement and the supplier's response in separate fields. A catalog rating remains a reference until the supplier has confirmed the relevant bottle, closure, product and operating conditions. For multiple formats, avoid using a single speed beside a general phrase such as all bottle sizes.

Similarly, distinguish a requested component brand from the offered component reference, a provisional layout from a reviewed drawing, and an intended acceptance test from an agreed test method. Link each answer to the supplier document that supports it. Mark missing answers as open; do not fill them with typical values to make the checklist look complete.

Identify which open items block which decisions

Different unknowns affect different stages. An unconfirmed bottle neck can affect the equipment or change-part proposal. An unresolved connection drawing can affect integration. Missing test criteria can prevent a meaningful acceptance review. Ask the responsible reviewer to identify the decision that cannot yet be released, rather than treating every open item as a minor note.

For each item, record an owner, required evidence, due gate and status. Where the parties choose to proceed with a provisional assumption, make that assumption and its limitations explicit. This checklist does not authorize manufacture, shipment or acceptance; use the approval route agreed for the actual project.

Example: a second bottle format is added after the offer

Illustrative example only: the initial offer covers a 500 ml PET bottle and the buyer later requests a 1.5 L bottle. Do not simply add the volume to the equipment description. Request the new bottle/cap references, format-specific output response, change parts, label and pack compatibility, and the proposed test coverage.

Record the supplier's effect on equipment scope, price, documents, tests and schedule. Mark the superseded format schedule clearly and retain the agreed revision. This is a change-control example, not evidence that one particular machine handles both formats or delivers the same output.

Questions to close before purchase

01

Is a catalog specification enough for the technical agreement?

No. A catalog can identify a reference platform, but the agreement needs the project formats, equipment boundary, proposed output basis and supporting document revisions. Keep unconfirmed catalog values distinct from accepted requirements.

02

Must every unresolved detail be treated the same way?

No. Assign an owner and decision gate to each open item. The responsible reviewer should identify whether it affects selection, drawings, manufacture, testing, shipment or another stage; do not silently convert an unknown into an approval.

03

What happens if bottle or cap details change?

Record the new revision and request an impact review covering compatibility, change parts, output, testing, price and schedule. Keep the earlier and revised requirements traceable until the agreed change is approved.

04

Does this checklist replace a signed contract?

No. It helps organize technical records and unresolved decisions. It does not establish legal terms or replace project-specific technical, commercial and legal review.

What you should leave with

  • An annex register connecting the equipment schedule to agreed drawings, samples and test references.
  • Open decisions with a named owner and an approval gate.
  • A revision process for changes that affect scope, format, performance, testing or delivery.
